Engineering intelligent microrobots through the fusion of mechanics, materials, and chemistry.

 

Our mission is to engineer micro-machines that can sense, move, and perform tasks in ways inspired by robotics, but at scales thousands of times smaller!

We design and synthesize functional building blocks at the nano- and microscale, then use engineering principles of assembly and control to combine them into more complex, programmable systems. From microswimmers and stress sensors to multi-compartmental carriers and miniature robotic platforms, our research focus on how building blocks can be transformed into collective, intelligent machines. Bridging mechanical engineering, robotics, and chemical design, we are charting a fantastic voyage toward the next generation of microrobotics, with potential applications in medicine, sensing, and advanced materials.
